Elizabethan Writing Desk - Late 1500s to Early 1600s

Beautifully carved Elizabethan period writing desk is 20" deep, 25.75" across at the bottom, the hinged top is 29" wide and 15.5" tall at the back. There are six drawers inside under the top along with a false drop front covering two hidden drawers. There are a couple of minor issues; a split across the lid, some dried residue from masking tape over the split, the piece was assembled using hand made nails, but a couple of small modern screws are used to hold the lid where the original nails are missing. It has been pointed out to us that the drawer pulls do not appear to be original. Otherwise the piece seems to be in fairly good shape.
